The University of Miami has been a trusted partner to our community during challenging times. And now is no different.

With the rapid spread of COVID-19, our work as a research and clinical care institution has never been more important. As every aspect of our daily lives has been disrupted, our students, patients, and frontline health care workers are counting on us—now more than ever—in our response to the pandemic. Now is the time for our ’Canes network to mobilize on all fronts—from our alumni and parents to our friends and partners. During this time of uncertainty, as the U Responds, you can too.

The CARES Act passed by Congress includes new charitable giving incentives, including an “above-the-line” $300 deduction for non-itemizing taxpayers. For taxpayers who do itemize their deductions, it lifts the existing cap on annual contributions, raising it from 60 percent of adjusted gross income to 100 percent.

Support our students

Students are facing new economic realities and financial hardships as a result of COVID-19. Help our students continue their education through increased scholarships, funds for internships and mentorships, and other emergency needs.

Accelerate COVID-19 response

Our health care providers are on the frontlines, working to protect the health and safety of patients. Our researchers are striving to find solutions from rapid testing to preventative vaccines with one goal in mind — to defend our communities against the devastation of COVID-19.

Donate supplies

Donations of PPE and other supplies will help us deliver the best patient care during this pandemic, while protecting our health care providers.
