KPMG Seeks University of Miami Graduates
KPMG Seeking Miami Graduates
KPMG, considered one of the Big Four accounting firms in the world, has recognized the University of Miami Business School (MBS) as one of its priority schools for recruiting accounting graduates. KPMG currently employs about 77 UM alumni in various roles including advisory, audit, and tax services.
Industry insiders say the quality of the MBS accounting program is impressive. The school boasts a 78% pass rate of first-time CPA exam applicants (versus a national rate of 55%) and a 98% placement rate of graduates.
“Students graduating from the Masters in Accounting Program are better equipped for what lies ahead. Having a program that keeps in close touch with the accounting profession is vital. It is very important that MBS now stresses Business Analytics. These are some the key reasons KPMG hires students from Miami Business School,” said Ezequiel Ladron de Guevara, Audit Partner at KPMG, to UM reporter Rony Shir.
“I think that KPMG and similar firms have recognized that students coming out the University of Miami are very well prepared. Not only are they passing the CPA exam, but they are provided with an education that prepares them for their post-graduate career. We are taking a holistic approach to preparing our students for succeeding once they graduate.” says Seth Levine, faculty member for the online Master of Professional Accounting.
The University of Miami offers an online Masters of Professional Accounting program that integrates the best of our on-campus program into an online format designed for working professionals.
UOnline currently offers several options for students interested in a graduate degree or certificate in professional accounting, all taught by faculty with 10+ years of teaching experience along with unmatched professional and practical experience.
