Professor Jennifer Krawec, Ph.D.

Doctorate of Education in Applied Learning Sciences

Program Overview

Experience hands-on learning opportunities and explore the theory behind learning processes.

Our Doctor of Education in Applied Learning Sciences equips graduates with the skills to revise and improve the design of traditional and non-traditional learning environments. As a student, you learn how to; improve environments conducive to learning, evaluate learning and implement learning solutions.

The Applied Learning Sciences doctoral degree culminates in a project rather than a dissertation. The project has practical application and students often use the opportunity to address a local issue in their community. You can choose to collaborate with other students and can submit projects in multimedia formats and in your native language, as supported by UM Faculty.

Prospective EdD students are required to submit graduate exam results (such as GRE or GMAT) to be considered for admission. Accepted students will be expected to complete two one-week residencies at the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables, Florida.
